From 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting authority for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). It is one of the prestigious competitive exams for students who want to seek admission into different medical courses such as MBBS and BDS. In fact, NEET is the only medical entrance examination organized for admission in different medical courses. It goes without saying that meticulous and consistent preparation is required in order to crack the exam as there are large number of aspirants for this course and hence appear for the exam. Even students who have dropped out from NEET can re-appear for this examination and score good grades.

You may refer to the following guidelines which will certainly help you to crack the exam:

1. Follow the syllabus as prescribed for the exam

Before you prepare for NEET, you should peruse the syllabus in detail. A comparison may be drawn between the CBSE and NEET exam syllabus. This would provide you with some extra hours to concentrate on your syllabus which is not covered in the board syllabus. However, do not waste your time on topics that are not included in the syllabus.

2. Maintain a proper study Schedule

Students must follow a proper study schedule for NEET Preparation. Plan your schedule in such a way that there are no long hours of study. Include frequent intervals between study hours so that your mind is not blocked. Once you follow a schedule, it would make it easier to manage your time and cover the entire syllabus.

3. Set your priorities and emphasize on your weaker areas

As a candidate preparing for NEET, you should focus more on weak areas. Do not avoid covering any topic from the syllabus rather concentrate more on your weak points than your strengths. Try to prioritize the topics according to the importance and the level of your merit. The sooner you start preparing, the better it is. Understand it is very important to keep time for revision.

4. Keep assessing your work

Your preparation is incomplete without proper evaluation. Always make it a point to evaluate your performance based on your preparation. Make sure to do it regularly. Take mock tests, solve old question papers, take tests with your friends, and follow the tips of your seniors. In this way, it would be easier to cover almost all the topics.

5. Eat Healthily, Stay Healthy

When you are preparing for NEET, make sure you take good care of your health. Your study schedule would involve long hours and late nights, which can affect your health. Also, always aim to eat well, take frequent breaks, avoid junk food, exercise or walk, meditate for improved concentration.

With all these tips being followed with full dedication, Preparation for NEET Entrance Exam won’t be difficult for the coming year.
